A Purpose Driven Day sponsored by the Department of Missions on April 12, 2008 with the Rev. Kerry Mackey was inspirational and a great success. The Design Team for the Department agreed that the next course of action would be for parishes attending the conference to share with other churches, initially through the diocesan website, what they are doing to implement the five principles of scripture.

     The Rev. Chris Porteus and the good people of St. Stephen’s Earleville, are actively taking steps to further implement these principles in the North Sassafras Parish. Fellowship, Discipleship, Evangelism, Worship and Ministry are alive and well at St. Stephen’s as the parish eagerly steps forward with renewed energy in their journey toward change and growth.
